What should one do if someone blocks you for no reason?
I didn't feel well these days as I found out a good friend abruptly blocked me and left me out of all conversations among our common friends. Of course, this happened not for no reason; we had some disagreements, but they were frank discussions, at least I think. However, he didn't feel the same. More than that, he has hidden his feelings from us for over a month and made every step to shut me out of his life. When we met in person, he pretended everything was normal. When I asked him why he didn't respond to my text messages and calls, he said his phone was broken, or he was sick in those days and couldn't speak. When I asked why did he leave the meeting after his speech, he said he was pressing the wrong button to end the Zoom. Then suddenly, he resigned from all positions in the organization we created. He left the baby organization we made.
Thanks for the below message; it made me feel relief. I have to learn how to move on. I was planning to go to the place he is working. After reading the below message, I will stop thinking about him. Thanks for the author of this message. It helps me to think positively.

If a person
- Blocks you
- Disappears on you
- Ignores you
- Gives you silent treatment
CUT THEM OFF!
This kind of behaviour and communication style is toxic and unhealthy. It will keep causing you stress. You are better off without it.
People who block others need lessons in manners, tolerance and empathy. They need to grow the fuck up and act like an adult. Adults Communicate. Blockers either have no clue how it feels to be blocked or they are apathetic enough to cause that mindfuckery to others. If they are okay with causing you that mindfuckery, they are not the people you want in your life.
We should surround ourselves with people who can communicate their wishes and desires openly and firmly. Who can display maturity where it’s required. There are so many healthier and kind ways of communicating unpleasant feelings that if a person still chooses to take an extreme measure, then it basically shows who they are. They are choosing to do this deliberately. They meant to cause you hurt, shock and disbelief.
Once you understand this, you will also understand that they can and will do it again. Because they are not scared of hurting you anymore by being rude, selfish and childish.
Best course of action? Give them what they want. Give them your absence. Stay gone from their life. And over a period of time, their immature little stunts will lose their power because you would become so good at dealing with them by not giving them “your power”- your reaction, your effort (by reaching out to them or finding out why they did it or imploring to unblock you).
Blocking is an insult. It is slamming the door shut in your face while you are anxiously waiting outside their house ringing the door bell, hoping they will open the door and welcome you in. It’s a way of saying LEAVE. It’s a way of saying you are UNWANTED. You are UNDESIRABLE. You are the person they want to GET RID of. Now ask yourself, what would you do in this situation? Would you wanna stay? If yes, then by all means, try talking to a blocked chat box or stalk them on other media and become a certified stalker. If no, then fuck them and do your own thing. Let them derive gratification from their own childish pleasures. If they want to speak to you, they will unblock you. At which point, you can decide if you want to speak to them again or no.
IF you do decide to speak to them, please keep in mind that they dont respect you. Because we dont block people that we dont wanna lose :)
